Lost Highway

Fred (Bill Pullman) plays saxophone by night, and sleeps in his soundproof saxophone-practice bedroom by day. One morning a voice over his intercom tells him “Dick Larante is dead”, and a videotape of his house is delivered to him. Soon, Fred’s partner Renee (Patricia Arquette) is murdered, and Fred is arrested, because there’s a video of him doing it, much to his surprise, but don’t worry, this is a David Lynch film, so there’s a creepy pale guy cropping up all over the place too.

Point Break, clearly broken

Last night I watched Point Break again. This was only the second time I’ve watched it, the first being a few years ago, after the recommendation of Seargeant Danny Butterman. On first viewing, I found it very easy, and often more enjoyable, to stop paying attention to the film and do something else, and the same can most definitely be said of this second viewing. I’m going to place the blame for this mainly upon the shoulders of Keanu Reeves, as the improbably, but somewhat awesomely monikered Johnny Utah.
