“Three days later” – it’s the first between-episodes time jump! The day of Leland’s funeral. “That man is gone… forever.” “So is everything I love” Cooper and Sarah (Kyle MacLachlan & Grace Zabriskie). Sarah is missing an earring, “Leland always found the other earring”. Brutal small moment of lost intimacy.
The wake, a lot of food. Nadine (Wendy Robie) is still in child mode, marvelling at her own shiny shoes. Very childlike performance, good job Robie. Hank (Chris Mulkey) is being a good guy (performative?) fixes Sarah a plate, but she doesn’t want it. Donna (Lara Flynn Boyle) talks to Big Ed (Everett McGill), James rode away blaming himself and hasn’t been seen since, fine by me.
So Maddy (Sheryl Lee) is dead and wrapped in plastic. This is bad, but it means Albert (Miguel Ferrer) is back, hurrah!
There’s strands of white fox fur in Maddy’s grasp, the fur Leland claimed from Ben’s stuffed fox, so he’s definitely trying to frame him.
Donna and James (Lara Flynn Boyle & James Marshall) possibly slept together, then he went for a long ride on his motorbike. He presents her with a ring, “be together all the time” but doesn’t definitively propose.
Norma’s mother Vivian (Jane Greer) is not a fan of the eggs. “If you want to serve a truly memorable omelette, try white veal sausage and morel mushrooms” – omelette recipes in media of course makes me think of Deep Blue Sea, man I’d love to see LL Cool J crop up in this show. Andy (Harry Goaz) eating pie, repeating Howard’s suicide note in French over again. Donna is currently oblivious to the deaths of both Howard and Maddy, and I’m assuming will soon be in a severe state of despair. Suicide note words come from Howard’s neighbour, Mrs. Tremont. Donna goes to see her, but he’s now a different lady and doesn’t have a magical grandson, but she does have a note for Donna from Howard. It’s a page from Laura’s diary, Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) instructs her to read it. It’s a description of Cooper’s red room dream, but from Laura’s perspective, Cooper described as “an old man”, gives warning of Bob, and declares that night will be the night she dies.
Mike possessing Gerard (Al Strobel) is going through withdrawals, “the giant is known to us here.” Cooper wants to talk to the giant, ask how to contact Bob, Mike tells him he has all he needs, the answer is in his heart not his head. Passes out. Useless.
Old man waiter (Hank Worden) with the glass of milk is back again! “That milk’ll cool down on you, but it’s getting warmer now.” Thumbs up. Still love this guy. Cooper sees stuffed white fox whilst searching Ben’s office.
Lucy (Kimmy Robertson) gets excited at Andy taking charge and calling Dick Tremayne Designer Menswear, only to add “that’s if you’re not too busy” and getting less interested again.
Catherine (Piper Laurie) visits Ben (Richard Beymer) in prison, in her Mr. Tojamura disguise. She wants him to sign the contract or return the $5m, he’s unwilling to do either until he “breathes the air that free men breathe” – Jerry getting a better lawyer. Catherine reveals herself by wiggling her bare, painted toenails, Ben recognises her just from that, these two are freaks. “Benjamin Horne, the slimy rat bastard.” He kisses her feet, begs Catherine to tell Cooper and Harry that they were together the night Laura was killed, she agrees if he signs the mill and Ghostwood over, he does, but she still might not tell them the truth.
Donna visits the Palmers, gives Leland (Ray Wise) the tape of their singing session (someone please burn it), he says it won’t be any problem at all to mail it to Maddy, then recognises Laura’s sunglasses. Donna tells Leland about Laura’s secret diary at Howard’s, now with the police. Receives phone call, says he hasn’t heard from Maddy since yesterday, took her to the bus station herself, “She never made it home”. Leland chews on some gum. Straightens his tie, again, Wildman Bob (Frank Silva) reflection. Later, plays with Donna’s hair, scares her, is Donna his next target? “I know the cure for what ails you, it’s simple really, always makes me feel good.” Puts some music on, turns into Wildman Bob who scream-yells at thunder, Leland starts dancing with Donna. Pulls her in a little too tightly/roughly, scares her a little. Harry (Michael Ontkean) shows up asking for Leland’s help, there’s been another murder, they both ignore Donna there at all. I cannot get over that all of this is happening whilst Leland was recently arrested for murdering Jacques Renault.
Donna tells James that Maddy is dead, James immediately says they could’ve helped her, nothing matters, world just goes to hell whatever they do, rides off not consoling her. What a guy.
In the motel bar, lightning strikes, Ben sat in a booth eating peanuts, Cooper and Albert at the bar, Harry enters with Leland, Big Ed (Everett McGill) arrives too. They all (except Ben) clear the room, then Hawk (Michael Horse) arrives with Bobby (Dana Ashbrook) and comatose Leo (Eric DaRe), what a collection. Cooper has reason to believe the killer is in this room. “Need to try something new which, for lack of a better word, we shall call MAGIC.” Lightning flash, Albert looks sceptical of the timing. Harry and Albert sat together, on the same page. “Someone is missing” Major Briggs (Don S. Davis) arrives with the Old Man Waiter, toddles over and offers Cooper a stick of gum, Leland recognises it, says he chewed it as a kid, old waiter smiles “That gum you like is going to come back in style.” Series of still lightning-lit images of all reactions. Cooper remembers what Laura whispered to him in the dream, “My father killed me.” So it’s confirmed, Leland did kill Laura, I’ll try not to gloat too much. The giant (Carel Struycken) appears before Cooper, gives his ring back (places it on own palm then disappears so it falls to the floor). Cooper tricks Leland, saying they need Ben to accompany them to the station, bring Leland as his attorney. Cooper gives a thumbs up to the confused-looking Bobby, Major, Ed and Leo, and ecstatic old man waiter.
Open the cell for Ben, push Leland in instead, he goes ballistic, launching himself at walls and stand-screaming in the middle of the room.
“Laura told me… in her dream” “We’re going to need a lot stronger evidence than this” THANK YOU. That face is why I knew it was Ray Wise the whole time. That face. Leland/Bob makes animal noises. He confesses to killing Laura and Maddy. Says it’s almost time to move on, pull the ripcord.
The return of Dick Tremayne, Designer Menswear (Ian Buchanan)! Lucy explains to him and Andy that she’s going to keep her baby, not up for discussion. Dick asks Andy for a light, checks pockets, “Nooooooo”, Dick has one anyway for his cigarette holder. Smokes up to the smoke detector.
In Cooper’s dream the man danced, other clues laid out as well, kind of. “This Bob cant really exist, Leland is just crazy, right?” Crazed Leland recites poem including the line “Fire Walk with Me”, fire alarm and sprinklers go off, Wildman Bob Leland going full Shawshank, arms outstretched in the internal rain, Bob left him and he remembers “I killed my daughter! Forgive me!” Leland let the man in as a boy. Bob now wanted Laura, but she was too strong. Made Leland kill that girl Theresa (Cooper’s previous case?). So Bob was checking out Donna to be his next host body?
Where has Bob gone? Only Leland, Cooper, Harry and Albert in the room, but that might not be a necessity for this being, could’ve gone down the drain for all I know. Or just need a small vicinity, which then includes Ben, Hawk, Andy, Lucy and, of course, Dick Tremayne, Designer Menswear. Cooper strokes Leland’s hair and encourages him to go “into the light”. LELAND DIES? Fuck, did not see that one coming. Dies just as the sprinklers stop.
Cooper, Albert and Harry walk away, Major Briggs stood waiting for them in the middle of the path at attention. Harry in disbelief, thinks Leland out of his mind, but Albert more open, others saw Bob in dreams, Major Briggs also open to more than heaven and earth. Albert: “Maybe that’s all Bob is, the evil that men do”, Harry asking the important question, “Where’s Bob now?”
Bob-vision! Purple, negative, flying owl! Is Bob an owl? Makes sense, with the face morphing/overlay from earlier episode.
New mysteries: Where did Bob go? IS Bob an owl? Why were Bobby, Leo and Big Ed brought to the Poirot reveal scene?

Who is the “J” Laura was anxious about meeting? Who was the shadowy figure behind Leo in the woods? – Presumably it really was Leland, but possessed by Bob. I’m gonna say this is done too. What did any of Cooper’s dream mean? – Apparently it all revealed who Bob was. I’m not convinced it’s all been explained, but I think it’s probably done as well. Who is the third man seen on the night of Laura’s murder? – Bob possessing Leland. Done. Who is the father of Lucy’s child? – Either Andy or Dick Tremayne Designer Menswear, time may tell. Who attacked Jacoby? Who shot Cooper? Is the Waiter real? What did any of Cooper’s new dream mean? – Hints at Bob. What’s up with this Wyndham Earle character? What’s with the magic Tremond kid? Who was trying to call Harry at the police station? If the owls are not what they seem, what are they? – I’m going with the owls (some or all, unsure) are physical representations of spirits not possessing people. Why does Nadine think she’s 18? Why is she super-strong now? Who is M. T. Wentz? – If it’s Vivian, that’s pretty mean to Norma. Who is Cousin Jonathan / Mr. Lee, really? Why did Wyndham Earle send Cooper a chess move? What is Leland-Bob going to do next? Just keep killing? – Nope, he’s going to abandon Leland to die, then presumably go possess someone else. Is Hank going to blackmail Ernie? Is Ernie really going straight, or is it an act?
I feel like this season has really turned a corner now we know definitively that Leland is possessed by Bob, and presumably has been behind everything so far. Let’s go!

We were watching series two of The Last of Us and some characters started talking about Snoqualmie and I’m like “There’s a great waterfall there,” and then they show it, great. I love the waterfall, but I do not love this waterfall clock.
David Lynch mis/not hearing and yelling everything will probably always be enjoyable. The demon inside of Gerard (Al Strobel) is not enjoying all the noise in the hotel lobby, sailors with bouncing balls, just a lot of people and noise.
Chaos at the orchid house, utter disarray. Hawk (Michael Horse) checks it out and finds Howard hanged in his own greenhouse.
At the Palmer place, the camera focusses briefly on a four-pillared clock on the mantlepiece. After the tacky waterfall earlier, is this the shelved clocks episode? Maddy, Leland and Sarah (Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise & Grace Zabriskie) are having coffee with the morning papers. Maddy tells them she’s leaving, heading home tomorrow, they’re mostly ok about it.
Howard’s suicide note, “I’m a lonely soul” in French. “It’s a good thing Andy didn’t see this one.” Hawk finds the supposed Laura Palmer diary. “Paydirt.”
Bobby, Shelley and Leo (Dana Ashbrook, Madchen Amick & Eric DaRe) are working out their finances, only get $42/month after expenses, the problems of both insurance fraud and the American medical system. Bobby suggests they sell Leo’s truck, but it’s been impounded by the state as evidence. Comatose Leo starts screaming when they talk about Leo having a money stash somewhere, Bobby and Shelley join in, but significantly louder. Leo starts saying “New shoes” every now and then, Leo had Shelley take in some of his boots for repair last week. “You give us what we want, I’ll give you the whole damn shoe store.” Leo death rattle porridge spit.
Audrey (Sherilyn Fenn) confronts her father (Richard Beymer) about One Eyed Jacks, reveals she was the white-masked Prudence! Ben taking this somewhat well. He’s owned OEJ for five years, he knew Laura worked there but only for a brief time, Emory sent her there. “Did you sleep with her?” Looooooooooong pause, sigh, “Yes”. “Did you kill her?” Another long pause – longer than it should be – “I loved her.” Forlorn Ben, the most emotional he’s been.
Norma (Peggy Lipton) a good boss/friend, fine with Shelley quitting her job, says she can get her job back at the diner whenever she needs. Nadine and Big Ed (Wendy Robie & Everett McGill) enter the diner, she still in teenage mode, Ed getting others to go along with the ruse, such as Norma saying she’s only worked there 6 weeks, not 20 years. Big Ed told Nadine her parents been visiting Europe for weeks now. Squeeze-explodes her chocolate milkshake glass, milkshake, whipped cream and blood everywhere. “Eddie, I’m so happy, I could just kiss you to death!”
Bobby brings dipshit (Gary Hershberger) Mike to see Leo at Shelley’s house. The shoe ticket got old shoes, not new shoes, but they hammer the treads off, and find a small cassette in the heel, Leo banging his head against the wall.
Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) going through Laura’s diary, intimations to the One-Armed man being a friend of her father, threats to tell the world who Ben Horne really is, but much of the diary mutilated. Audrey arrives, tells Cooper that Ben was sleeping with Laura, he owns One Eyed Jacks and she worked there. Audrey wants Cooper to arrest her father. Harry: “what’s going on?” Cooper: “Without chemicals he points” thinks Bob collapsing when Ben arrived was a big clue. “We need a warrant to arrest Ben Horne.”
Piper Laurie in Asian make-up and mannerisms next to actual Asian actors does not feel good. Cops all arrive to take Ben in for questioning. He tells the police to just “Go away, I’m gonna go out for a sandwich.” they apprehend him and drag him away in handcuffs, impotently yelling “No! No!” Ben Horne is not having a good day, I’m glad.
What the heck is going on at the Palmer house? The record player is just spinning, nothing playing, Sarah crawling painfully down the stairs calling for “Leland!”
Log Lady (Catherine E. Coulson) is at the station as Ben is brought in. See her log-first. “We don’t know what will happen, or when, but there are owls at the roadhouse.” “Something is happening isn’t it, Margaret?” “Yes.”
Pete (Jack Nance) is prepping milk and cookies, hears something but no-one there, then surprise, It’s Mr. Tojamura!! Gives Pete a big, milk-dropping kiss, he’s furious. “Ever since the moment we met I’ve been strangely attracted to you… there’s something about your eyes, so warm and deep and blue as the sky. Dummy it’s me! It’s me!” “Catherine, you look terrible, just terrible!” Laughing happily, relieved, she’s alive! I knew it!
Sarah is still crawling, has a vision of a white horse in her living room. It snorts, fades out, she collapses. Record player still spinning, Leland nearby tying his tie, oblivious. This feels important.
At the Bang Bang bar (and courthouse) Donna and James (Lara Flynn Boyle & James Marshall) have evidently levelled up from the Double-R diner, now here for drinks, nuts and cigarettes, talking about Howard Smith’s suicide. Log Lady, Cooper and Harry arrive and sit down, an unusual pub quiz team? I imagine Cooper would be excellent at a quiz. The Log Lady is absolutely downing peanuts. Donna is curious, Maddy didn’t mention she was leaving soon. Cooper, Harry and the Log Lady are watching the show, a singer with a red dress and a familiar red curtain backdrop. Then – to Cooper – the singer disappears, replaced by the giant from his dream (Carel Struycken) “It is happening again. It is happening again.” What is happening again? Another murder? Is that what’s going on with the Palmers?
Cut back to Leland smiling in mirror, record still spinning, then he sees the Wildman in the mirror, his reflection turning into Leland/Wildman – so Leland is possessed by the Wildman spirit, like Gerard! Maddy comes downstairs, smells like something burning, sees Leland, screams, runs upstairs, keeps switching between Leland and Wildman, Sarah passed out on floor, struggle with Maddy, Leland punches her? Stabs her? Hurts her badly then dances around the room with her repeating “Laura” like he did with her photo last season. Wildman bites at her neck like a vampire? Was Howard a vampire? Is he really dead from hanging? Wildman (or Bob, I guess) is brightly lit slow motion kiss-sucking her face. “Leland says you’re going back to Missoula!” Smashes Maddy’s face into mirror, puts a letter “O” under her fingernail. I sure do hate being right all the time.
The giant stares blankly at Cooper then fades out. It happened again, not a lot of warning for Cooper, only informing him when it’s actually happening. Old Man Waiter (Hank Worden) is back! Hobbles over to Cooper, pats him on the shoulder and says “I’m so sorry” then walks away. No thumbs up or repetition this time.
Bobby and Donna suddenly both look extremely upset, unprompted, as if they’ve felt Maddy/Laura dying again, is this like when Obi-Wan sensed the destruction of Alderaan?

Or is there another cousin/aunt/relative who will arrive for Maddy’s funeral? The Giant cryptically warning Cooper that a death is currently occurring but with no specifics at all feels like a relatively useless power, is there more to it?

When are Cooper and Sid going to hook up? – Sid and the judge are still missing, this might never happen. Who is Cousin Jonathan / Mr. Lee, really? Why did Wyndham Earle sending Cooper a chess move? Why did Leland take the animal fur? If Bob is a spiritual parasite, is he inhabiting a character? If so, who? – Leland! Hell yes, I called it from day one.
Immediate pickup from cliffhanger, Harold (Lenny von Dohlen) is still bleeding from his self-face claw, so if we’re sticking to the one-episode-a-day format then this must’ve happen at the stroke of midnight. “You are unclean, you have contaminated me!” James (James Marshall) storms in, knocks Harold down and they escape, without the diary. Donna (Lara Flynn Boyle) collapses into James’ arms. Donna watches on whilst Harold angry-spritzes his orchids and howls in pain. Never angry-spritz, in most cases you’ll do more harm than good.
Only now am I putting together that Pete is the same Jack Nance from Eraserhead. Doy. Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) had a restless night involving sleep-chewing his earplugs, so starts the day with a yogic headstand, and finds the forgotten note from Audrey leading him to One Eyed Jacks.
Opens with train screeching, whispering, hospital machine beeping, super slow spinning zoom out from hole-filled hospital ceiling tiles. Leland (Ray Wise) looks haunted, being read his rights, waives his right to an attorney. Outright admits to killing Jacques for killing Laura (based on the evidence that “he was arrested for it”). Dr. Hayward (Warren Frost) witnessing it all behind Leland. Afterwards, Deputy Andy (Harry Goaz) asks if he can retake the sperm exam he “flunked”, gives Andy a pot to go fill whilst Doc waits in the car. Andy of course bumps into Lucy (Kimmy Robertson), who finds his copy of Flesh World on the way to the restrooms, lol. Post-session, Andy trips and drops the sample pot under the chair, Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) makes him freeze bent over to check out his boot tread. For most people this would be a notably embarrassing day, for Andy it’s just Wednesday. Cut to a waterfall, if I were in Andy’s position that’s all I’d need, no magazine required.
Michael Parks has been added to the cast, fantastic!
Ronette (Phoebe Augustine) is writhing and screaming, Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) notices her IV has been dyed and there’s a letter “B” under her fingernail. “I believe I was visited by a giant, twice; he left me three clues.” “Any relation to the dwarf?” – Albert.
Donna (Lara Flynn Boyle) visits Harold Smith (Lenny von Dohlen), Laura’s friendly Meals on Wheels customer, who points out that Donna is wearing a different sweater than yesterday, this one suits her better, because he’s a creeper? He doesn’t like to go outside – “cant” – and is younger than anyone expected. Harold used to be a horticulturist, he raises orchids, and wants Donna to place one on Laura’s grave for him. He basically lives in a greenhouse, and I’m getting seriously questionable vibes from him. “You’re every bit as lovely as Laura said you were.” “I’ll be back.” “I’ll be here.” Yeah, no shit.
So far the fingernail letters are “RBT”. Starting to spell trouble to me. The wildman has been seen by Mrs. Palmer, Cooper, Ronette and Maddy, also possibly the Log Lady’s log, if he’s the third man previously assumed to be Leland. “I’m a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence.” I love the Albert/Harry (Miguel Ferrer/Michael Ontkean) spats. “Anything we should be working on?” “Walking without dragging your knuckles on the floor” “Speaking about knuckles” – Harry grabs Albert by the tie, Albert grabs him back by the shirt, just kiss already. Wait, Albert does say he loves Harry, buddhist beliefs, doesn’t believe in retaliation, all based in love. I love this guy.
Cooper gets Lucy (Kimmy Robertson) to list all words containing B, T and R, a truly ridiculous task even if she had the internet at her disposal, which she does not.. Lucy’s date arrives, Dick Tremayne, Designer Menswear (Ian Buchanan), who is THIS GUY. Sporting four layers, coat with arms not in sleeves, and such an expressive face. What a delight.
Silver fox Leland (Ray Wise) shows up with the wanted poster, he says he knows the wildman. Lived in the white house a few doors up, Robertson, RBT. “He used to flick matches at me. He’d say “You wanna play with fire, little boy?”” That’s gotta be a Fire Walk With Me reference, right?
Dick Tremayne, Designer Menswear eats with a fork “the European way” though I cant say I recognise it. Lucy’s lipstick is quite bright. Dick is Lucy’s baby’s father, “How ’bout a MATERNITY DRESS?!” She stands up in middle of the diner, but isn’t showing enough to make the impact this would make at 7 months. “Preggers, huh?” Dick Tremayne, Designer Menswear is clearly some kind of smarmy git, but damn he dresses well.
James (James Marshall) confides in Maddy (Sheryl Lee) that he’s concerned about Donna’s behaviour, Donna arrives to find them holding hands, Maddy consoling him. Harold was “bright, charming, intelligent… completely unlike anybody I know.” James cannot catch a break (nor should he, he sucks).
Blackie (Victoria Catlin) got Emory (Don Amendolia) to film Audrey (Sherilyn Fenn) being bound and gagged. She knows Audrey is Ben’s daughter, and plans to kidnap and ransom her! Emery concerned, knows Ben is powerful. Plot twist, is Audrey secretly Blackie’s daughter?
One-armed shoe sailsman (Mr. Gerard, Al Strobel) is showing Harry his wares. Needs “a shoe for all seasons”, but he looks a fright after seeing the wanted poster of the wildman. Shelley (Madchen Amick) is also there for questioning, but refuses to say anything against Leo (Eric DaRe), her husband in a coma. Cooper immediately sees through it as an insurance ploy, and Shelley isn’t the one behind it all. Gerard in the bathroom trying to shoot up – evidently tricky with only one arm – but he seems to be relatively successful, emerging from the stall speaking to the air that “I’m after you now…”
Ben (Richard Beymer) is just not concerned about Audrey’s disappearance, and Cooper is still being followed by the mystery man.
Audrey is being sleep-fed English caramel by Michael Parks (Jean Renault, ANOTHER J! Dead Jacques’ brother). “Candy’s dandy, huh?” Emory identifies Cooper as FBI on the OEJ CCTV. Michael Parks doing a fun cajun-esque accent. Jean wants to kill Cooper (so not the mystery shooter, as he didn’t know who Cooper was) for revenge, Blackie wants the money from the ransom, Jean also gets Nancy (Galyn Gorg), another lady working at the club.
“Remember in my dream, the one-armed man knew Bob” – Bob is Robertson, the Wildman. “Without chemicals, he points” – Cooper finds Gerard’s discarded syringe and assumes it’s pointing somewhere.
Doc (Warren Frost) has Nadine (Wendy Robie) strapped down, as she ripped out restraints yesterday and is pumping out lots of adrenaline. He advises Big Ed (Everett McGill) to sing to her, so once alone he sings Old Smokey until she clenches his hand too painfully and wrenches off her metal chains and claps like a mechanical monkey. Cooper and Truman visit Jacoby (Russ Tamblyn) in hospital, where he’s receiving a foot rub from his WIFE (Jennifer Aquino), in his fruity pyjamas, leaf bedding, candles, and numerous other home comforts. Cooper hypnotises him (and almost Harry as well). Sensory memory recall, what does Jacoby remember from the room when Jacques Renault was smothered by Leland. Recognises Leland, but doesn’t name him.
Donna places the orchid on Laura’s grave for Harold, questions her tombstone, confesses the relationship between herself and James now that Laura is dead. “As much as I love you Laura, we always seemed to be solving your problems, and you know what, we still are! It’s almost as if they didn’t bury you deep enough!”
James goes to Maddy, angry about something, and they kiss, Donna sees them but smashes a lamp on the way out, Leland’s lamp. “DONNA! WHY?!” “All I did was come to her funeral, and I’ve fallen into a dream. People think I’m Laura, and I’m not, I’m nothing like her!” Leland consoles Maddy, only for Cooper and Harry to arrive and arrest him! That was faster than I expected. Donna then goes to Harold, didn’t know where else to go. Donna, snooping at Harold’s, fingers an orchid, finds a knife and a book inside of which says “This is the diary of Laura Palmer”!
New mysteries: Why can’t Harold Smith go outside? – Agoraphobic? Bubble-Boy condition? Vampire? Why does Nadine think she’s 18? Why is she super-strong now? – I have nothing, this is a truly bizarre and unforeseen turn of events. Why does Harold have Laura’s diary? – My initial guess it’s a fake, one that Harold wrote to pretend to be closer to Laura.
Old Mysteries: What happened to Laura? Who assaulted Ronette? Who is the “J” Laura was anxious about meeting? – Jean could now be added to this ever-expanding list, but I don’t think that’s a likely answer. Who was the shadowy figure behind Leo in the woods? What did any of Cooper’s dream mean? Who is the man in the red Corvette? – Bob, the Wildman. Who is the third man seen on the night of Laura’s murder? – Seems to be this Bob fella. Who is the father of Lucy’s child? – I hope it’s Dick Tremayne, Designer Menswear, just so he stays in the show. Who attacked Jacoby? Who shot Cooper? Is the Waiter real? What did any of Cooper’s new dream mean? Why did Leland’s hair turn white? Where are Josie and Catherine? Who is the guy looking for Josie? What’s up with this Wyndham Earle character? What’s with the magic Tremond kid? Who is the Wildman? How does Leland know him? Who was trying to call Harry at the police station? – Could be either the missing Josie or Catherine, perhaps? If the owls are not what they seem, what are they? Why can Maddy see Bob, but James and Donna can’t?
Is that a barbershop quartet behind Cooper and Albert (Kyle MacLachlan & Miguel Ferrer) at breakfast?! Albert has returned to Twin Peaks because of his colleague Agent Wyndham Earle, who is either now in an insane asylum, or has disappeared, I couldn’t quite follow. I’m guessing he has escaped from an insane asylum.
Here we go, season two! If you’re new here, welcome, I’m watching Twin Peaks for the first time and am sort-of live-tweeting the experience as I go. My expectations for this season, based solely on having only watched the first season once and having seen a few other David Lynch projects, are that this season will probably get a little stranger, and will probably resolve a few of the dangling threads (Who shoot Cooper? Who was the third man seen the night of Laura’s death? How can one small town supply the bizarre but fashionably opposite styles of both Jacobi and Jerry?) but will probably open up a whole heap more. Let’s get going!
