Slightly less film watching was done this week. I only had three days off work, and at least one of those was spent predominantly looking after the puppy, so I didn’t get quite as much done as I’d have liked. However, some catching up has been done, and there’s a few more green “Yes!” marks at the bottom of the page today than there were last week. The trick now is keeping it up, and I’m going to give it a good try, although my imminent future will require me to be watching a lot of films not connected with any of my lists for podcasting purposes, but for once in my life I have faith in myself. I love Easter. No, I’m not religious, not at all, but here in the UK we get a four-day weekend and, unlike Christmas, there’s less pressure to spend a great deal of it with family. So we had a family meal on Friday afternoon, and the rest of the weekend has seen me left to my own devices and just getting stuff done. Huzzah! I said I was going to do it, so here I am. This is the start of a new weekly post I’ll be writing, touching on the films and TV I’ve seen in the past week that doesn’t I don’t have a chance to review properly, as well as keeping you folks updated on the progress of my 2015 Movie Goals. This being only half a week, I’m only labelling it as Week Zero for the year, Week One proper will be this coming week.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have not been back to work since Christmas, so these past few days have been spent revelling in movie-land, including three trips to the cinema, which is pretty damn unheard of, if you ask me. So let’s stop dicking around and get on with it, shall we? Continue reading
The period of retrospection and looking back to the previous year has finished, now it’s time to look forward at the year ahead. There’s a lot of interesting looking films coming up, and here’s my run-down of the 50 that I’m most looking forward to, in order: Continue reading
